personassassin1) Kaoru is kind of shy around new people and stuttery, but gets chatty when comfortable.
2) His rebellious spirit was awoken against others/society in general, because they didn't accept his father, or him, and constantly mocked them and spread rumors.
3) He got involved in the Phantom Thieves when their target was someone hurting his Dad. He followed them into the Metaverse, then joined properly.
Kaoru goes to a different school and works hard to study, including cram school.
He feels like he's a burden to Iwai, and Iwai might not really love him.
He has a burn on his neck that looks sort of like a gecko. He was mocked for it a lot until Iwai got the tattoo.
In Iwai's Confidant, he was forcibly kidnapped and is where he learned about his father being in the mafia -- which he didn't care about. He loves him more than anything, though he is still a bit afraid he's just bothering him.
